Waynetown July 9 - Hamlet Smith, 62, died at his home 4 miles south
of this place on Sunday night at 8 o'clock. He had been in declining
health for the past 5 years and seriously ill the past week of Bright's
disease. Mr. Smith was born November 30, 1865 near alamo the son of
Daniel and Katherine Thomas Smith. He wa smarried to alice F. Follick
Nov 19, 1891 and was a member of the Ridge Farm Christian Church. He had
lived at Alamo all his life. Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Mrs.
Raymond Grenard of Crawfordsville; one sister, Mrs. Estelle Cheney of
Alamo; 3 brothers, Edward and Lindley of Alamo, and Howard of
Crawfordsville and one granddaughter. The funeral will be held from the
Waynetown Christian Church Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in charge
of Rev. WH Newlin of Crawfordsville. Interment will be in Waynetown
